ADJ’s Latest AVL Solutions Prove Popular With Visitors To The InfoComm Exhibition

Last week the ADJ team showcased the company’s latest professional lighting fixtures and LED video panels to the pro-AV industry at the 2022 InfoComm trade show in Las Vegas. New fixtures – including the latest additions to the IP65-rated Hydro Series and wash fixtures equipped with lime LED chips for enhanced color mixing and high CRI – were very well received by a steady stream of AVL professionals who visited the ADJ booth throughout the three-day exhibition.

InfoComm took place June 8th thru 10th and is North America’s most comprehensive event for audiovisual solutions that enable integrated experiences. ADJ exhibited in the ‘Events & Entertainment’ section of the North Hall, where the team welcomed hundreds of customers, both old and new, interested in discovering ADJ’s latest technology with a view to using it as part of upcoming projects. The booth highlighted a variety of recently released and soon to begin shipping professional lighting products from ADJ, including moving head luminaires, static washes, and multifunctional strobe/blinder/wash LED-powered fixtures.

A highlight of ADJ’s InfoComm booth were four new additions to the popular Hydro series of IP65-rated moving heads. Sitting proudly at the top of the expanded range, the Hydro Profile combines an immense 660-Watt LED engine that produces 25,000 Lumens, with an expansive feature set to offer a professional lighting powerhouse. Its beam can be precisely manipulated using a four-blade rotatable framing system, while other key features include a CMY color mixing system combined with a variable CTO flag, a six-slot replaceable color wheel, two GOBO wheels, two rotating prisms, and an animation wheel, as well as motorized zoom (6 ~ 45 degrees), focus and iris. Offering a compact and budget-friendly IP65-rated spot solution, the Hydro Spot 1 features a potent 200-Watt cool white LED and delivers punchy output which can be manipulated using an extensive collection of beam-shaping tools. These include motorized zoom (for a beam angle of 11° ~ 22°), motorized focus, two frost filters, two rotating prisms, six rotating and replaceable GOBOs, and two color wheels. The larger Hydro Spot 2 model is powered by a potent 320-Watt cool white LED engine. It offers an impressive 15,000 Lumen output while featuring a wide variety of beam-shaping tools, including an animation wheel, motorized zoom (for a beam angle of 8° ~ 41°) and focus, two frost filters, CMY color mixing along with a variable CTO flag and independent color wheel, two GOBO wheels and two rotating prisms. Finally, the new Hydro Beam X12 is designed to create stunning aerial effects, both inside and outdoors, combining lightning-fast movement with the power of the latest Philips® Platinum 12R LL MSD Discharge Lamp technology. The light from this extremely efficient source is focused through high quality optics to create a piercing output with a tight 2-degree beam angle.

Also on display was the new Focus Flex. This compact yet potent moving head offers lighting designers the creative flexibility of generating vibrant washes, punchy beams, and eye-catching pixel effects from one compact and quick automated luminaire. It features an array of seven powerful 40-Watt 4-in-1 RGBW color mixing LEDs, each of which can be controlled independently, together with a motorized zoom function which delivers a variable beam angle of between 4 and 32-degrees.

Alongside the already shipping Encore LP18IP, Encore LP12IP, Encore LP7IP and Encore LP5IP LED par fixtures, ADJ’s InfoComm booth showcased three new additions to the IP65-rated Encore Lime Par series of wash fixtures utilizing high output 4-in-1 color mixing LEDs that each include individually controllable red, green, blue and lime elements. On all the fixtures in this range, the inclusion of the lime LED primary color boosts both CRI and perceived brightness as well as filling in gaps in the color spectrum. Each LED is rated at 20-Watts and in addition to a huge gamut of colors is capable of delivering white light with color temperature varying between 2700K and 7000K. The new Encore LP32IP is a multifunction fixture, designed to be used interchangeably as a wash, strobe or blinder, which features 32 LEDs arranged in a 4 x 8 matrix and divided into 8 independently controllable zones. The complementary Encore LB15IP is a linear fixture featuring 15 LEDs, which can each be controlled independently. Finally, the Encore Z7LP is a par fixture which combines 7 LEDs with a motorized zoom function offering a variable beam angle of between 5 and 50-degrees.

The Ultra LB18 is another new fixture that was on display. It is a powerful and versatile linear LED wash, designed for permanent installation or temporary event use at indoor locations. It features 18 x 10-Watt 5-in-1 color mixing LEDs (red, green, blue, amber & lime) and has a beam angle of 17 x 40-degrees. The fixture is supplied with brackets that can be used to set it directly on the ground or attach a clamp for truss mounting and the ends are also magnetic to allow adjacent fixtures to be quickly and easily aligned.

Expanding ADJ’s popular COB Cannon series of LED-powered wide angle wash lights, the new COB Cannon LP200ST was also showcased at the exhibition. Featuring a high output 200-Watt COB (Chip On Board) 5-in-1 LED engine, it combines, in varying intensities, the independent red, green, blue, amber and lime LED elements that make up its light source to allow the creation of a huge spectrum of colors. A compact and versatile fixture with a high CRI, it offers a wide 80-degree native beam angle but is also supplied with both 40-degree and 50-degree lens options.

In addition to these brand-new products, ADJ’s booth at InfoComm also showcased a variety of recently released lighting fixtures that are already shipping. These included ADJ’s Focus Profile fully-featured and LED-powered moving head framing profile and the Vizi Beam 12RX dedicated beam moving head. Also on display was the new Jolt Panel FX and Jolt Bar FX multifunctional wash / strobe / blinder fixtures, which each feature a central strip of 5W cool white SMD LEDs surrounded on both sides by arrays of 0.3W RGB SMD LEDs arranged into multiple independently controlled zones. Finally, the Encore FR Pro Color, which is the latest addition to ADJ's range of professional stage lighting fixtures, was also showcased. It combines a 7” Fresnel lens, motorized zoom, and a potent 400-Watt LED light engine to deliver enhanced color mixing potential and a CRI in excess of 94.

Also on display were ADJ’s popular ‘VS’ Vision Series of LED video panels, which offers a versatile modular solution that has been developed to make life easier for video professionals installing LED walls on either a temporary or permanent basis. Each panel in the range features four individual modules, which are front and rear serviceable. Across the indoor options, the modules are all mounted to the same frame, allowing panels of different resolutions to be used together and meaning that the same rigging bar and other accessories can be used for all VS models. Featuring the highest quality LED binning as well as bright, clear output, the VS Series features three indoor panel models. The VS5 offers a 5.95mm pixel pitch (84 x 84 pixel density), the VS3 has a 3.91mm pixel pitch (128 x 128 pixel density) and the VS2 offers the highest resolution in the range with a 2.97mm pixel pitch (168 x 168 pixel density). All three panels utilize 3-in-1 RGB SMD2121 LEDs with a brightness of 1000 NITS and a high refresh rate of 3840Hz. In addition, the range also includes an IP-rated (IP65 front / IP54 rear) model, the VS3IP, which has a pixel pitch of 3.84mm, utilizes SMD1921 LEDs, and offers a brightness of 4500 NITS.

ADJ’s sister company, Avante Audio, was also showcased from the booth. The Imperio ‘mini’ line array system was demonstrated to many interested visitors, while the Achromic Series of point source active speakers were also on display, giving AVL professionals a chance to check out portable audio solution from the ADJ Group alongside the lighting and video products on offer.
